St. Mark’s Worship and Pastoral Care Committee

Since our last report, one marriage was approved by the Committee.
The Inverness-Guysborough Archives Committee reviewed the church records on March 17, 2007 and all records were found to be in order.

The 2007 Worship & Pastoral Care committee was organized in February.

The last Sunday of each month will be Food Bank Sunday. Items can be placed in the box that is located in the Narthex.

Communion was served on February 25th, Easter Sunday, and Confirmation Sunday, May 25th.

Good Friday service was held at St. Mark’s at 11:00 a.m.

On April 22, Organist, Al Fougere and the choir conducted the service during Reverend Pelley’s absence and beautiful music was enjoyed by all.

The Baptism of infant Hannah Isabel Karen Boudreau took place on April 29th.
Two youths, Brent Morrison and Alan MacKeigan were confirmed on Sunday, May 25th.
Lorna MacRury conducted the service on June 3rd while the minister was away attending Maritime Conference.

June 10th, Anniversary Sunday, will be a combined service at 11:00 a.m. with St. David’s invited to join St. Mark’s. A pot luck meal will follow in the hall.

Our committee is currently meeting with St. David’s to search for a supply minister to cover the month of July, August and until the new minister arrives in September. The summer schedule will be posted in the bulletin.

We wish to express our appreciation to Reverend Pelley for his leadership and assistance during the past few years and extend to him and Melita our best wishes for a happy retirement and best of luck in all future endeavors.
