ST. MARK’S ANNOUNCEMENTS
 
St. Mark’s Scripture Readers
 Worship and Pastoral Care Committee are currently compiling the Scripture Readers Schedule for the end of 2011. If you would like to be a reader, please contact the Church office or Julia Mac Quarrie at 625-0352.

Mission and Outreach Committee: The Mission and Outreach Committee will be meeting over a cup of tea/ coffee following the service Sunday morning, September 11th.

Thanks to Dorothy MacAskill who has been sending sympathy/get well cards to Church Community people for the past few years. Beginning September please contact Annabel Butts –0741 or Church Office –2229 if you know of anyone who should receive a card.

"Members of St. Mark's Congregation have formed a committee to compile a cookbook and we want your "tried and true" favorite recipes.  We want this cookbook to be one of the best ever!  There are a lot of good cooks at St. Mark's so if you want to share your recipes, please type them up and forward to Ruth MacRae at angus.macrae@sympatico.ca or write them up and put on the collection plate and I will type them up.  We're looking for recipes in all categories, i.e. appetizers, salads, soups,  breads, vegetables, main dishes, casseroles, desserts, cakes, cookies, squares, pickles, vegetarian, etc., etc.  This cookbook, when compiled and printed, will be an excellent fundraiser for our church, so pass on your recipes.  Any anecdotes re the origin of your recipe(s) or any other comments are most welcome."
