Next Sunday, September 1st, we begin Creation Time in the Season
after Pentecost. During worship in the four weeks of Creation Time, we
will create a "community art installation." By creating this larger
than life net of found objects and litter, we will observe how we can be
both awed and shamed by the size, the wastefulness, and the beauty that
our impact has on earth. We are invited to reflect on how the net
represents the ways God gathers all things including our mistakes and transforms us into a new creation.
September 1st is Ocean Sunday: bring along to worship pieces of objects that pollute our oceans, perhaps things that you have found as you walked the shore.
