All: We are ready to listen.
One: Come, meet, as if for the first time, the one who greets our discouragement with hope.
All: We are ready to listen.
One: Come, open your hearts to the one in whom heaven and earth are united, and offers the transforming vision of God’s love and justice.
All: Here we are. We are ready to listen. We are ready to follow.
Opening Prayer
One: Weaver of life, you knit together the fragments of our days into a garment of beauty.
All: Take our joys and sorrows and create a pattern with them where your love shines.
One: Weaver of life, you take our individual stories, our successes and our failures, and make of us a community in which your grace is revealed.
All: Use our diverse gifts and talents to create a quilt of radical hospitality and welcome.
One: Weaver of life, you are the thread running through all creation, all people, all that exists.
All: Give us the vision to see beyond the torn and tattered fabric of conflict, division, and exploitation, so that we may see the glory of your presence in all of life.
One: Weaver of life, you wrap us in the garment of your love and justice, calling us to follow you.
All: We are knit together in your love, stitched together in your grace, bound together by your justice. Amen.

Offering Our Gifts to God
*Offering Prayer
All of life is in your hands, O God. We are blessed when a small portion is entrusted to our care. Fill us with gratitude and enhance our generosity that, as a community, we may live out the values, hope, and promise that we proclaim. Amen.
Prayers of Thanksgiving and Intercession

One: From the morning dawn to the setting sun,

in the brightness of a sunlit day

to the darkness of a starless night,

you are present, O God.

Even when it seems to us you are an illusion,

a mere figment of our desperation,

you come to us with the assurance you have been with us,

you are with us, you will always be there.

All: Stir us with the hope of your vision for our world.

One: From the Americas to Asia, from Africa to Europe,

from the smallest island to islands that are continents in themselves

your love is as deep as the oceans, as high as the mountains,

there is nothing that exists outside of your care.

The echoes of creation are calling us to be stewards of Earth,

to be voices for the oppressed, to be lovers of all whom you love.

All: Empower us by the vision you place on our hearts.

One: From the cathedrals of power to small out-of-the-way

communities of prayer,

from large metropolitan areas to villages reached

by dusty dirt roads, you raise up prophets to speak a word of justice

undeterred by present realities,

looking only to the promise you have placed on their hearts.

All: Strengthen us with your vision

that we may be prophets of your love in word and deed. Amen.

WE GO TO SERVE GOD

*Hymn               Be Thou My Vision                     VU 642
* Sending Out & Blessing
One: Go forth from this place as truth tellers, unafraid to name the challenges we face.
All: We have heard the voice of the One who sees us as we are, our brokenness and our potential.
One: Go forth with a renewed vision to guide you, with hope in your heart, ready to be agents of God’s transforming love.
All: We have heard God calling. We are ready to follow the One in whom heaven and Earth continue to meet.
*Choral Amen                        VU 967
