Prayer Shawl Knitting Circle Knitters and crocheters - gather together in the parlour of St. Mark’s on the 3rd Monday of each month. Monday, November 19th will be our next time of gathering at 1:00 p.m.

Deadline for submission to the Contact is November 14th. Camille would like to have the pictures of this year' grads: high school, college, university and post grads. She will need the info to go with the photos as well: school, grad date, course of study and degree if applicable.

Gifts with Vision: A Gift-giving Catalogue
Our congregation has received multiple copies of Gifts with Vision: A Gift-giving Catalogue from the United Church of Canada for all of us to use and share. The catalogue represents a special opportunity to give gifts to loved ones and an additional way to support our partners through the Mission and Service Fund.


Port Hawkesbury Food Bank is in need of bottles (1 - 1 ½ cup size) with tight covers. Drop off in the Church kitchen or at Food Bank on Monday a.m. Thanks!

The new Cookbooks are available. Please check with Ruth Mac Rae – Chair of the Ways & Means Committee.

The pots, pans, plates and dishes are piling up in the corner of the kitchen. Please check out the pile to see if any might be yours.

There is a box on the counter in the choir room where submissions for the Contact may be placed.

November 15 (Thursday) – 12 noon. St. Mark’s Congregation Seniors are invited to a luncheon in the Church Hall. Enjoy a lunch with friends. Need a ride? Phone Connie 625-1417 or Annabel 625-0741 to arrange transportation.

St. Mark’s will be celebrating Baptism November 18th. If anyone else is interested please speak to Nan.

Global Brigades Appeal: We have received a letter (on the bulletin board) from Heather Blundon requesting support for Medical and Dental Brigades, a program of Global Brigades Inc. St. Mark's Board agreed at its last meeting that this initiative is worthy of our individual support and have designated Sunday, November 11th and November 18th to receive donations toward the cost of the mission trip. Please make cheques to Mount Allison University with a notation that designates "Global Brigades". The church will assemble all the donations and pass them along to Heather.

Manse Committee St. Mark’s is in the process of establishing a manse committee. The committee’s mandate is to meet with the clergy and spouse twice per year to review any issues of maintenance, improvements, etc. required at the manse. Terry Morrison and Clark Brander have agreed to serve on the committee and would like to have a lady from the congregation serve as the third committee member. If you are interested in serving on the Manse Committee please contact Terry 625-3905 or Clark 625-1062.

ST. DAVID’S ANNOUNCEMENTS


November 18th - Official Board Meeting following Worship Service.

There Will be Sunday School at St. Davids on the First and Last Sunday of each month. (This will run two Sunday's together, but it is easier to remember this way) This will be starting on Sunday November 25th.
