The Port Hawkesbury Food Bank

The Port Hawkesbury Food Bank continues to support a large number of clients from the area. During the past few months we have been joined by several new volunteers. This always brings new ideas and new energy. In March, St. Mark’s Church joined the many other churches in the surrounding area and began Food Bank Sunday. The last Sunday in every month is designated for this purpose.

A list of suggested items needed at the Food Bank is posted in the hall at St. Mark’s and at the back of the Church at St. David’s. This outreach is appreciated. In January a request was received from the Marble Mountain Congregation to have someone from the Food Bank make a presentation on the work of the agency. This was done at at Sunday morning worship service and seemed to be well received. Thanks to everyone who supports the Food Bank.
