The Cookbook Committee held their first meeting this a.m. after Sunday service. It is the overwhelming consensus from those who responded to my first email re this, that St. Mark's should do a cookbook as a fundraiser. Now we need you to provide us with all your favorite "tried and true" recipes to make this cookbook one of the best that will be available in the area!!! We should all be very proud of the meals and lunches (after funerals) that have been provided at St. Mark's over the last number of years!
If you can type them up on the computer, please do so with one recipe per page, so it will be much easier to sort by types of recipes, the name of the recipe and type in who is submitting this - this will make it more easy for Camille to format, when that time comes. For anyone who cannot type, write out the recipe and put it on the collection plate in an envelope and I will type it.
You can send in any recipes, i.e.breakfast/brunch dishes, muffins, breads, loaves, biscuits, cakes, cookies, squares, pies, pasta dishes, appetizers, soups & chowders, casseroles, dishes that are used for our pot luck suppers (which will likely include most of these recipes) meat, chicken, fish vegetarian, diabetic, vegetables, salads, desserts, candy, pickles, jams, quantity cooking, etc., etc. - you get my drift! Also any anecdotes that may be associated with the recipe as to its origin, if you wish.
Please email them all to me, the sooner the better.

We know that there will be a number of the same recipes submitted, but only one will be printed. At this time I'm not sure how that will be handled, but we certainly don't want to upset anyone, so that is down-the road, and I don't think it will be an issue! So get your typing fingers in shape and send me your recipes!!
Thanks ever so much,
Ruth
