Creation Time-Flora and Fauna Sunday

“Endangered species” and “population control” are terms we use to describe opposing effects of imbalance in our environment and the impact humans have. Today’s readings celebrate both freedoms and boundaries as we acknowledge our dependence on God. Consider your community: its species, its values, its anxieties, its consumption and its waste. What has become “endangered”? What habits and uses of our environment need to be the focus of more control?

Offering Our Gifts to God
* Offering Prayer
We offer these gifts as the grass grows tall for the cattle and the vine makes grapes to gladden our hearts. As the water brings abundance to the trees and the trees give shelter to the birds, take our offerings as a pledge to flourish under your care, and to give generously to all that live around us. Amen.
