At the end of 2007, after giving $1,000.00 for taxes on the manse, the Helping Hands had $351.78 in their bank account. In March, 2008 a gift was given to the Mission & Service Fund in memory of Hazel Smith. Hazel enjoyed coming to our work-evenings to make tea for us and to talk as she knit items for the next sale.
Our Giant Spring Yard Sale 2008 was a colossal success! We had so many beautiful items given to us and almost as many workers willing to give a Helping Hand. A grateful Thank you to the number of people who attended and bought items, the kitchen goodies that sold like Hot Chocolates, and all who worked during the winter gathering in goodies for the Spring Sale!
It was indeed a Great Spring Yard Sale that brought in $1162.00. This is the greatest amount raised at our Yard sales. (Last Spring we realized $1080.80) $1000.00 of this money will be given for church expenses at Anniversary.
