Inverness County Welcomes Refugees Resettlement Project

Donald Kalley is almost finished his course in Marine Geomatics at the Lawrencetown Campus of the NSCC. He expects to graduate in June. He has accepted employment with the Canadian Hydrographic Service, Central Arctic Region and will be located in Burlington Ontario. We consider this to be a very successful outcome for our first experience at sponsoring a refugee family. We regret that he had to move away to find employment, but we know this happens often, even with our own children.

Christiana has been taking driving lessons, and has just passed her driving test. We have not seen the children, Israel and Donalda for several months, but the Kalleys are planning to come here to visit for a period of a week to say farewell to everyone.
