Pentecost!
The time is now!
Lent told us, “God is love.” Easter
told us, “Christ is risen.” Now Pentecost tells us, “The time is now! The Holy
Spirit is here! Time to get moving!”
…Pentecost is wind and fire and
water and a cacophony of tongues all speaking the language of love. It
completes the movement of the
season
from the Ashes of Ash Wednesday to the flames of the Holy Spirit. The breath of
the Holy Spirit infuses us with new life in worship.

WE GATHER TO WORSHIP GOD
'... the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name,
will teach you everything, and remind you of all that I have said to you. Peace
I leave with you; my peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world
gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled, and do not let them be afraid.” John
14:26, 27
The
peace of Christ be with you. All: And with your spirit.

One: Come, let us worship God.
Opening Prayer
God of rushing wind and chaos, we celebrate the gift of your Holy Spirit
