December 21st – Longest
Night Service at St. Mark’s. 6:30 p.m.
A service in which we
recognize that Christmas celebrations may be especially hard for
people who are holding sadness and loss in their hearts; a service of
candle-lighting to honour those people and experiences that we
grieve, and to celebrate the presence of light shining in our lives;
a service of prayers to remind us we are not alone in our grief and
uncertainty; a quiet service in the midst of a busy season.

Hawkesbury Nursing Home

Christmas Day Service,

Combined Service at St. David’s.
This
service is a simple Sabbath. A chance to gather in the quiet of the
morning, to remember, to rejoice and to respond to grace flowing
freely in the humble birth of the God-made-flesh. It is also a chance
for the community to gather: those who are alone, those who want to
start this day with a pause, those who seek a moment of simple
wonder, are gathered as the family of God. Followed by table
fellowship at Christmas Potluck Brunch.
New Years Day Service,
January 1st – 9:30 a.m. - Combined Service at St. Mark’s.

home is warm. We all deserve to be comfortable in our homes,
regardless of income. But too many struggle to keep warm and pay the
bills. Clean Foundation and Efficiency Nova Scotia are
working together to offer low-income homeowners free energy
efficiency improvements that can help them feel more comfortable
while reducing heating and power bills. And these upgrades are
provided at no-cost to qualifying homeowners thanks to the generous
support of Nova Scotia Power and the Government of Nova Scotia.
Interested homeowners can speak confidentially with a Service Advisor
about their eligibility by calling 1-877-434-2136 (toll free) or
visiting www.HomeWarming.ca for full eligibility criteria and
applications.
Applications and brochures
are available in the church office.
