Food Bank donations are received on the last Sunday of the month.
They are also saving plastic grocery bags which can be dropped off at the Food Bank or given to one of the volunteers.

Prayer Shawl Knitting Circle Knitters and crocheters gather together in the parlour of St. Mark’s on the 3rd Monday of each month. Next time of gathering is November 16th at 1:00 p.m.

COMMUNITY ANNOUNCEMENTS

Stella Maris Ladies Auxiliary will be holding the 2014 Fall Bazaar on Sunday, November 16, from 1:00 to 2:30 pm at the Creignish Recreation Center.  The bazaar will feature a bake table, crafts, fish-pond, cake walk, silent auction, parcel post, new to you items, bingo, and kids “make & take,  50/50 draw, Tea/Coffee/Dessert --- fun for the whole family. 

There will be an evening of prayer, music and scripture for families and friends of those who have died while in the care of St. Martha’s Regional Hospital from February 1st, 2014 to July 31st, 2014. This service will be held in the Clare Marie Auditorium (former St. Martha’s Chapel) on Monday, November 24th, 2014 at 7:15 pm. Refreshments will follow. We look forward to seeing you.

Applications are now being accepted for a twenty-four (24) week Work Options (Targeted Initiative for Older Workers) project. The project will consist of twelve weeks of classroom plus twelve weeks of work experience. Income support, insurable wages, and travel allowances may be provided. Leeside Christmas Program Leeside Transition House provides Christmas gifts and food to families in need who use our sevices.  Many of these families receive assistance only from Leeside.  Donations from the community make the Christmas program possible.  You can help in one of the following ways: -Make a cash donation -Donate a gift card from a grocery store -"Adopt" a child or family to buy gifts for -Tell others about the Leeside Christmas program For more information please call Leeside at 902-625-1990.
