Exodus 1:8—2:10
The women in this week’s story take action to save and nurture life while the powerful pharaoh plans to destroy it. From the midwives to Moses’ mother and sister, and Pharaoh’s own daughter – these women come to the defence of the most vulnerable and take action. When we see the powerful take advantage of people in our own world today, these women’s example of how use their gifts to do God’s will is one that we can take to heart.
This week, celebrate the children in your life! Do something special for your own children or send a card or small gift to your nieces, nephews, godchild, or other children in your life. You might also make a donation or volunteer at an organization in your community that works with children, such as an after-school or tutoring program.
