FUNDSCRIP
FundScrip has earned
$315.50 in the second quarter which is similar to the earnings in the
first quarter. This is approximately $100.00 per month with twelve
supporters participating in the program. Order Sundays for June will
be June 8th
and 22nd
and delivery Sundays will be June 1st,
15th
and 29th.
PLEASE NOTE THAT JUNE 22ND
WILL BE THE LAST DAY TO ORDER BEFORE THE SUMMER AS FUNDSCRIP WILL BE
SUSPENDED FOR JULY AND AUGUST AND WILL RESUME AGAIN IN SEPTEMBER.

COMMUNITY ANNOUNCEMENTS
Active
Church: An opportunity to serve our community!
The
Town of Port Hawkesbury, Port Hawkesbury Paper and Tim Hortons are
teaming up to do a community clean up on June
21 from 9am-12noon.
Meet at the Civic Centre concourse area and everyone will be provided
with garbage bags and gloves.
After the clean up there
will be a barbecue as thanks to everyone that comes out. Come join
our United Church Action Group taking part in the cleanup!
Leeside’s
annual day camp will be offered in Port Hawkesbury from July 14-18
and July 21-25. This will be a fun filled week with in and outdoor
activities. Registration will be held June 11. 2014. 12- 4pm at
Strait Area Women’s Place located at 609 church street, suite
104(professional building) . The camp registration fee is $50.00 and
the fee includes snacks and a lunch. Pre-registration is necessary
and space is limited. The deadline for applications is July 4. For
more information call 625-1990.
The
camp is designed for children age 5-10, who have attended at least
one year of school and who are able to feed themselves and
independently use the bathroom. We are unable to accommodate children
who need a significant amount of individual attention or who find it
difficult to function in a group setting. The ratio of children to
camp staff/volunteers will be 5 children 1 camp leader. Each camp is
limited to 15 children.
