To our Brothers and Sisters in Christ;
It is with great pleasure that the council members of Holy Trinity invite the congregations of St. Mark’s and St. David’s United churches to worship with us on Sunday, June 30th, 2013 at 11 am. We also invite your choir members to join our choir.
Over the past year, Rev’d Nan and I have been getting to know one another and have had the pleasure of working together on a few occasions. It became quite evident that Nan and I appreciate ‘ecumenical’ events/worship but felt that maybe we could find new ways to deepen this connection. As both Nan and I are ‘from away’ we recognize that the majority of members of the three congregations already know each other. Many of you have worked together, live next door to one another, or are, in fact, related to one another and you share your joys and sorrow. We believe that our worship together will enrich the deep relationships you already have, and help further the Kingdom of God.
For practical reasons we have planned a simple pot luck meal after the service. We ask that your members provide sandwiches and our congregation will provide the rest of the meal.
As we are conscious of the stress that can manifest itself when we ‘miss’ a Sunday’s offering – we suggest that you put your offering in your own church envelope and after the service we will ensure that each church receives the appropriate monies.
