Welcome and Announcements

Lighting of the Christ Candle: This candle represents for us the light of Christ. It reminds us of the colours that paint our lives, it warms us in the cold, and it brightens our paths when all seems dark. May we take this light wherever we go and share it with others.  Amen.

Introit: Rise Up                                              MV 130

Rise up, rise up, rise up O my soul

Rise up and sing this blessing to God’s name.

Rise up, rise up, rise up O my soul

Rise up and sing this blessing to God’s name.

Call to Gather:

We all gather with a common goal:

We know that God is our Creator.

We are those who trust in our God

God who makes us strong and courageous.

We are all blessed by an amazing God

Those in need and those without need who share of their bounty.

Come let us worship, together!

Prayer of the Day:

Gracious God, we give thanks for this day and this place, and the places where those joining us virtually are present. Life has an amazing array of differences. Despite all of our differences, we join together to worship and fellowship. There is so much to do in our world to make the kingdom of God visible to all.  May each of us offer a helping hand. We are invited to walk this path of faith together, and we are asked to walk it with strength and courage, sharing and loving one another as we go.  May we always know our God walks with us!  Amen.

Minute for Mission

Offering Hymn:                                               VU 581 vs 2 only

Through all our living we our fruits must give,

good works of service are for offering,

when we are giving or when receiving,

we belong to God, we belong to God.

Offering Prayer: Loving God, what we offer today is an act of love. May these gifts that we are able to give help to bring about peace and justice in our world. We offer all these gifts with hope and with love. Amen.

Our Joys and Concerns and Lighting the candle of caring:

As one heart is lifted
May we share its celebration
As one heart is burdened
May we share the pain it knows

And so we take this flame and light our special care candle… in all our joys and in all our concerns, may we be ever mindful of the present-ness of God among us.

Prayers for the people and Lord’s Prayer

Report on Foster child for Special Events Group

Special events Group has had no income during the Pandemic of the last two years.

Our Foster Child is Donovan from Sao Luis in Brazil. We have been sponsoring him for many years He is now a teenager and he and his family rely on our support to improve their living. At the moment our account has enough funds to make payments of $42 per month through to January 2022.

Special events group would like to ask if any congregational members would like to sponsor Donovan for a month or a part of a month. If so place donation on collection plate appropriately marked. You will be receipted for same.

Once Special Events are able to raise more funds they will be able to take over once again. Thanks for your help.

Bulletins are dedicated 'In Loving Memory Of", 'In Honour Of', or 'As A Gift'.
