Sunday, Sept. 9th –  Second Sunday Lunch Join us for fellowship and food on Second Sundays as we gather in a local restaurant to share lunch together. Everyone welcome. We will meet in the hall right after worship to arrange carpooling if needed.

Sunday, Sept. 16th—St. David’s United Church congregational meeting. Immediately following Sunday worship. Meeting to clarify the intent of St. David’s congregation in regard to taking part in the Affirming Ministry study process (see information insert).

Special thanks to the people of St. David’s who made our quilt show a very successful event. The quilters raised $2, 176.00 for the Church.

Terry Fox Run 2018 on Sunday, Sept. 16th at 1:00 pm Port Hawkesbury Community Park 
***NEW LOCATION*** This year celebrates the 38th Anniversary of the Terry Fox Run! Come join us Sunday, Sept. 16th to walk, run or bike 1 km, 5 km or 10 km Road Route OR  walk the Port Hawkesbury Community Trail from the Playground to TEC and back. A great walk for the whole family! Come out and help support the Terry Fox Foundation for Cancer Research! Bring a friend and have a great time keeping Terry’s Dream alive! 

Register online at terryfox.org or just show up at the Port Hawkesbury Community Park on the day of the event. The Port Hastings Museum and Archives and the Artisans Collective Gift Shop is open Monday to Friday 10 am  to 4 pm and Sat. and Sun. 12 to 4  until the middle of October.   

Caregivers Nova Scotia is pleased to offer a free Wellness Retreat for family and friend caregivers in Lower River Inhabitants on Wednesday, September 12, 2018. Come and spend time with other unpaid caregivers, learn about self-care, enjoy a delicious lunch, and share a few laughs. This event is free but seating is limited. The Port Hastings Historical Society will meet on Wednesday, September 5th at 7pm. At the Port Hastings Museum and Archives. New members are encouraged to attend.

Point Tupper Heritage Association will be holding their annual Church Service September 9th at 2 p.m. at the Museum. Everyone welcome.
