7:30 pm, a presentation by Nova Scotia quilter Valerie Hearder, at
Greenwood United Church, Baddeck. Valerie is known, not only for her
own creations but also for her organization “African Threads”. A
non-profit organization, affiliated with the Stephen Lewis
Foundation, which helps grandmothers in Africa who care for millions
of their grandchildren orphaned by the death of their parents due to
AIDS. A monetary donation and/or donation of embroidery floss or
non-prescription reading glasses gratefully accepted. For more info
