Members of St. David’s U.C.W. are saddened by the sudden passing of our president, Patsy Swain on November 2nd, 2008. Soon after moving to Port Hastings in 1980, Patsy became an active member of St. David’s U.C.W. While chairing the Ways & Means Committee, she organized many suppers which were always very successful. She arranged for the food on other occasions and participated in our many U.C.W. projects.
Patsy was presented with her U.C.W. Life Membership pin in May 2004. She was nominated by our group to receive the Inverness County Volunteer Recognition Award in the spring of 2008.
We, as well as members of St. David’s congregation extend sincere sympathy to Patsy’s family. She will be greatly missed.
