Our first fund-raiser of 2008 was a buffet supper for three buses of seniors from the Sydney area on May 31st, which made a profit of $1,419.46. All the delicious food was donated and we received many, many compliments.
We then prepared and served a roast turkey dinner for the Girl Guide Annual Meeting on June 12th making a profit of $400.28.
On October 14th and 21st we provided soup, sandwiches and dessert to one bus each day of seniors and a profit of $569.38 was made. Again we heard wonderful comments about the lunch.
A very big “thank you” goes out to everyone who donated food or helped out in any way with these events.
A roast beef supper is planned for November 21st.
