These photos show the group setting up and preparing for the sale. One man's trash is another's treasure! Besides Helping Hands, the Point Tupper Heritage Association and private individuals had tables with goods to sell. By 11 a.m. when the admission ceased to be collected at the door, over 125 folks had entered the hall in search of bargains. Towards the end of the sale, people were given grocery bags and were told that they could fill them for $1.00 each.
