WE GATHER TO WORSHIP GOD

Greeting

As we now are in flu season, our greeting will be spoken only. We will resume handshaking and hugs in the spring.
One: The peace of Christ be with you. All: And with your spirit.

*Introit x2 Remember

Remember this song, remember this prayer.
Melody echoes of ancient and new.
Born in our lives and all that we do,
there is a love that knows no end.

Call to Worship

Opening Prayer

Ancient God, we remember those who have gone before us,
who were transformed by your power.
Your Spirit gave wisdom to the humble,
eloquence to the halting of speech,
courage to the fearful, bright hope to those in prisons.
Present God, we long for strength and renewal;
we long for a church that is
the living body of Christ for the world.
Fill us with your Spirit’s power.
Future God, give us grace to trust your promises
and offer our faithfulness, knowing that you are always at work,
seeking, saving, healing, renewing.
We pray in the name of Jesus Christ our Saviour. Amen.
