WHITE GIFT SUNDAY-DECEMBER 14TH 2014

Today we celebrate White Gift Sunday with worship in two different formats. What follows is the first part of worship at both St. Mark's and St. David's. No morning worship at St. David's today--White Gift service there is at 4:30, with leadership from the Sunday School. A potluck supper in St. David's Church hall will conclude this worship.

Advent Candlelighting Liturgy

Child: …We light this candle in joy and thanksgiving for the gift of Jesus who sets us free. (Child and adult light the third candle.)
Congregational Prayer: O God, help us to remember that true joy comes when the lowly are lifted up, when the hungry are filled with good things, and relationships are restored. May your love flow through us, out into the world, giving birth to great joy. Amen.
