2010 World Vision 30 Hour Famine

The 2010 World Vision 30 Hour Famine was held at St Mark's United Church April 16-17th. There were 18 teenagers ranging in age from 12 to 18. The participants were members of St Marks, St Davids, Girl guides, Pathfinders and friends. The group raised more than $1,700. Sponsors of the event included St. Marks UCW, Superstore, Sobeys, Dairy Queen, Subway, Papa's Pub, KFC and 101.5 The Hawk. World Vision is dedicating a portion of the proceeds to the relief efforts taking place in Haiti.

The younger girls spent a lot of time jumping rope and playing dodge ball - the victims in the ball game were the adults as the ball seemed to gravitate toward us!
