Palm Sunday was celebrated with palm branches and new Choir gowns at both churches.
St. Mark's new choir gowns were dedicated to the memory of one the longest serving members of the choir, the late Laura Swaine.
Thor Kristinsson, the guest soloist at St. Mark's sang a very moving rendition of "Gethsemane".
The concert by Al and Thor, "Iceland Meets Cape Breton" held in 2008 raised much of the funds toward covering the cost of these gowns.
