Quilt Show & Sale at St. David's

"Closing the Doors"of our Heritage Quilt brought visitors to tears. The Quilt's Journey of faith was viewed as their journey of faith. The Doors were then opened to celebrate the culture of Quilting on Cape Breton Island.



Lana greeted visitors with the history of this Historical Church built in 1886.

The Cape Breton Heritage Quilt was completed by Ann Morrell Robinson.
Each block depicts a piece of the culture of Cape Breton.

The Rose Flowers Quilt is a beautiful machine embroidery quilt of roses.

The 12 days of Christmas, can you find the 12 days?

Tea and biscuits were served each day by June Stirling.

The Tea Thyme quilters quilted 2 quilts during the week for the Blankets of Love.

Quilts of all sizes and patterns were featured.

A very big shipment of Blankets of Love for the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia from the Ocean Waves Quilt Society of Cape Breton.

There were many new and exciting patterns of quilts made by Cape Breton Quilters.

Quilts of all sizes and colours were available for sale.

The United Church Heritage Quilt was a beautiful addition to our show of quilts
celebrating the culture of Quilting on our Island.
