St. Mark's Teachers' Tea

On Monday, October 15th, the Christian Education Committee held a tea in honour of those dedicated people who teach our children. A surprising number of people turned out for the tea (17 in all), including Christine and Reverend Sheldon LeGrow.

There was a great delegation of young people, who expressed enthusiasm to continue the Youth Group, but they would prefer to have less structured gatherings in the future. Since we have so many talented musicians among our youth, a Coffee House was suggested where they could bring musical instruments and have Jam Sessions. They also expressed a desire to continue to hold Youth Church Services, but on a less frequent basis.

The Sunday School enrollment continues to grow and hopefully it will maintain this momentum to make up for those who moved away from our community last year. Our Superintendent, Heather Russey, gave a rundown on the Sunday School program and all the teachers seem to be getting on board.

Thanks to Heather MacE, Barb, and Marlene for serving the lunch and making tea!
