St. Mark's Christian Education Committee Mourns the Passing of Jean MacKeigan
I'm sure by now you have all sadly heard, Jean MacKeigan passed away on Saturday morning. Jean was a long time member of CE for many, many years. Being a teacher she was always counted on for guidance. During her last few years on CE she considered herself to be the "Senior Advisor", one we depended on for getting the graduation list. She was always the first one to volunteer when CE was asked to do something. For many years Jean & her husband Ebbie always looked after the advent banners. Many times you would hear "what do you think, Jean?", we could always count on her for words of wisdom and Jean would always tell us exactly what she thought, but in a diplomatic manner.
Jean had a bad fall on Tuesday morning and as the result had hip surgery on Wednesday AM in Sydney, during that surgery she suffered a heart attack and faced many complications after that, and as you all know, Jean being the very independent person she was, she realized she may have been facing too many challenges to remain her independent self.
Please keep her daughter Pam and her son Ebbie, daughter-in-law Gail (also a former CE Committee member) and grandchildren Alan, Emily, Ryan, Ashley and Madison in your prayers as they mourn the loss of a loving Mom & Nann.
